Our sales professionals, known as Academic Advisors (AAs), are primarily responsible for generating sales of tutoring programs, to be delivered by our faculty of amazing full time tutors. We have envisioned the role as an independently run small business, but without many of the operational challenges. This role provides expert advice and guidance on our academic programs that put their students' needs first.
We maintain the highest ethical standards, and expect our sales professionals to uphold the integrity and trust of our brand. At Revolution, we pride ourselves foremost on the quality of our tutors, but also on the quality of our sales and customer service processes. The first prerequisite for our tutors is a genuine interest in the well-being of our students, and the same goes for our sales professionals.

The Job

  • experience with B2C direct phone sales, strong consultative sales skills (3 years+)
  • experience with B2B relationship/account management
  • strong work ethic in following up with a large lead funnel by phone, up to 50+ phone calls per day
  • ability to work from home office using innovative computer-based tools,
  • requires local travel within region to visit schools and host events
  • college degree


  • serve as primary contact for parents within a local territory and selling tutoring & test preparation programs
  • follow up by phone with parents who register for events to sell and enroll in tutoring programs
  • connect with parents at events and via referrals from client schools who have interest in Revolution Prep services
  • be able to travel within the Greater New York Metro region.
  • visit client school sites frequently to give updates on Revolution Prep resources and industry developments
  • plan, promote, and attend college admission events at client schools
  • work strategically throughout the week, evenings and weekends (as needed) to achieve goals and business needs.


  • salary of 50k, plus commission
  • uncapped commission plan based on individual sales
  • strong Advisors exceed stated compensation range (year one total compensation range $50K -$80K, $50-$125K+ in years beyond)
