The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our finance and analytics team in Santa Monica, CA. The Business Analyst will use his or her exceptional data analysis skills to gather, analyze, synthesize, and present essential information that delivers insights, drives tactics, maximizes efficiencies, and meets business objectives. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide accurate and timely sales analysis utilizing excellent SQL skills.
  • Prepare analysis to present to senior management and make recommendations on business actions
  • Build dashboards and reports in Tableau to share metrics and insights with all internal teams
  • Help build and improve tools and processes that produce ongoing insights for our business
  • Work cross-functionally with the technology, sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather needed information and determine analytical needs
  • Work with marketing team to set up testing and provide analysis on marketing campaigns
  • Provide other ad-hoc business analysis as required

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, tenacious, and motivated by problem solving.

Requirements & Specifications:

  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel and/or SQL skills required
  • Prior experience with visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred) or Looker
  • Self-starter able to complete projects and analysis independently while balancing multiple priorities
  • Strong communicator and team member. Able to work cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business or a related/quantitative field (e.g., Management Information, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Math)

Compensation
