About the Position
Revolution Prep seeks to hire college students or graduates with proficiency in math up through the level of Algebra 2 to teach ACT prep courses. Classes will be held at University Academy (6801 Holmes Rd; Kansas City, Missouri) from Monday, September 12th through Thursday, October 20th. Revolution Prep will provide paid training and supply all materials for the courses.

This temporary position could transition into a part- or full-time permanent on-line or hybrid tutoring position if interested.
Responsibilities
- Complete pre-work and training prior to the beginning of the courses
- Review lessons in advance of each class
- Deliver exceptional instruction to a group of 30 motivated high school students using Revolution Prep’s curriculum
- Represent Revolution Prep with the highest level of professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Completion of a high school diploma and some college coursework
- Ability to comfortably teach math up through the level of Algebra 2 required
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience and familiarity with classroom management preferred but not required
- Previous experience tutoring or teaching SAT/ACT test prep is a plus
- Embodies a "growth mindset" (unafraid of challenges; adaptable to change; willingness to learn)
- Authorized to work in the United States (current residence must be within 25 miles of University Academy in Kansas City, MO)
- Must be available to teach the following in-person session times (Note: all times are in Central Time Zone):
- Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 10:15 a.m. weeks of September 12th through October 20th (this could be split between two tutors with one tutor covering two days a week and the other three days a week)

Compensation
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $40.00 per hour
