Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and analytical National Director of B2B sales to lead our Business Development and Account Management team. The candidate must have previous B2B Account Management/Customer Service/Sales experience as well as experience in generating new business, ideally in the K-12 education space. This is a new role to provide support, accountability, and management of a team of Partnership Managers. They must possess an enthusiastic, proactive approach to strategically lead a team of B2B sales professionals.

This is a role that requires exceptional customer focus and an individual who is continuously looking for improvements on behalf of our customers (schools). The role will primarily be home office-based but could require occasional site visits nationally. This role will require collaboration with Regional Directors and other sales leaders in owning business development efforts, lead generation, and overall company growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven leader, with a deep understanding for developing and scaling B2B opportunities. As a key leader on the Sales Leadership team you'll be responsible for driving operational efficiency by collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams. This role will require the ability to pivot quickly within a complex, fast-changing organization. The ideal candidate will be strong in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Strategically analyzes and applies consumer data to initiate Partnership growth opportunities.
  • Implements marketing tactics to support sales and margin goals.
  • Leads school/district paid business unit, providing strategic direction and oversight on grant funded and district budgeted test preparation and academic tutoring programs.
  • Tracks, forecasts, and translates reports to measure ROI.
  • Collaborates with Sales and Marketing leaders to develop and refine company branding strategy for target markets and channels.
  • Leads strategic account planning and strategy for partnership (school) channel, surfacing trends and establishing standardized best practices for current account growth.
  • Utilizes KPIs and metrics to track and report on performance of processes and transform data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Evaluates monthly / quarterly forecast and budget, including leads, sales, conversion, and contract value.
  • Provides weekly reporting and insight into Partner performance.
  • Partners with leadership and Sales Operations to drive performance and customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Establishes best practices for account acquisition and management to ensure consistency across the country with our school accounts.
  • Manages Partnership revenue channel and P&L objectives in collaboration with the VP of Sales and Regional Directors.
  • Works closely with marketing to develop promotional plans and scheduled campaigns.
  • Works closely with Executive Leadership to execute strategies in all company platforms.

  • Success managing a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Must be fluid and capable of pivoting strategy to align with changing business needs.
  • Successful track record in a high sales growth mode with a consumer services brand.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities, set and achieve challenging goals; work under the pressure of deadline and be adept at managing multiple tasks.
  • Working knowledge of RFP and school district adoption processes.
  • Possess strong presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to lead and participate effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level.
