About You

We are looking for a product manager who will be responsible for the overall success of our product line. You will be responsible for managing the product's lifecycle from development to product launch. The product manager will be responsible for assisting with bringing our company's vision and strategy to life. This person will need to understand and respond to customer needs and wants in addition to being able to convert those into product and/or project requirements.

About the Role

At Revolution Prep, the Product Manager is responsible for providing the product development team with a product vision and prioritized list of features (the backlog). The Product Manager is responsible for gathering requirements for new features and platform changes, and designing solutions that improve users’ working lives on a daily basis, helping us all grow and achieve more as an organization. The role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer and collaborates with a lean and dynamic team to build awesome things.

Product Manager Responsibilities

Below are some of the responsibilities a product manager is expected to assume in their position:

  • Interact with and represent internal customers within the development process
  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer to maintain and prioritize the product backlog for future development
  • Write requirements – typically as user stories and epics
  • Track releases, and oversee timely completion of development sprints
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Support the development team with any questions they may have
  • Conduct direct quality assurance testing on new features
  • During and post-deploy, validate the successful release of those features into production
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, where necessary
  • Handle prioritized internal bug report tickets, replicating and passing over to the development team for action
  • Communicate the rollout of new features and products to internal/external stakeholders, ensuring a smooth launch
  • Document functional and technical decisions made as part of new feature/platform development
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:

Below are the qualifications expected of a product manager:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in product management or a related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • High level of comfort with technology and its development
  • Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills along with in-depth knowledge of product strategy
  • Experience creating detailed reports and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A track record of successfully making and keeping commitments
  • Ability to work efficiently with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and creative content skills
  • Embodies a "growth mindset" (unafraid of challenges; adaptable to change; willingness to learn)
  • High-speed internet, as well as a clean, quiet, professional setting for online meetings
  • Authorized to work in the United States
