The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Director of Human Resources, who will have immediate and profound impact in the acquisition and management of our business’s most critical asset—its people. This role will own all major human resources functional areas, including benefits & payroll administration, employment law compliance & policy implementation, talent acquisition & performance management, and foster Revolution’s dynamic culture.

As a Director of Human Resources, you will be a critical component in that effort and be afforded the opportunity to build a network of partners and families in your region.

The Role

  • Legal Compliance and Employee Management: ensure Revolution Prep remains in regulatory compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws, develop HR processes to minimize Company’s risk and maintain accurate systems of record.

  • Manage Employee Development & Performance: ensure Revolutionaries have clear job descriptions, performance metrics and development plans in place; administer mid-year and annual performance evaluations.

  • Professional Development and Training: facilitate professional development training and/or workshops to build highly effective teams and managers and provide opportunities for Revolutionaries to learn new skills and spread best practices.

  • Employee Engagement and Culture Building: manage company-wide communication plan that provides transparency company-wide; plan & execute company social events, measure employee engagement and develop recommendations to enhance company culture.

  • Payroll & Commissions: manage and execute bi-weekly payroll for 150+ employees and submit 401k funding.

  • On/Off-boarding: coordinate the on-boarding of new employees, including administering background checks, collect and process new hire paperwork, and conduct new hire orientation; conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data.

  • Benefits Management: administer health and welfare benefits, lead negotiations in benefit renewal with brokers and providers, conduct orientation meetings and open enrollment for qualified employees, manage ongoing administration of enrollment/plan changes.


The Candidate

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a vibrant personality, thrives on being challenged, and is devoted to creating a dynamic company culture and engaging workplace. Capable of strong attention to detail and excellent follow through, s/he is task-oriented and excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a selective undergraduate institution

  • 3 to 5 years of HR generalist experience

  • PHR/SPHR preferred

  • Broad knowledge of employment law, compensation & benefits, organizational planning, organizational development, employee relations & training

  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving & interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in MS Office & extensive experience managing recruiting, on-boarding, payroll, benefits and other HRIS platforms

Pluses:

  • Master’s or equivalent degree; concentration in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development
  • Member of SHRM or equivalent professional HR organization
